Brisbane Observations: SES

I thought it was about time I started writing something about my adopted hometown of Brisbane. I have been living in Brisbane since 2008 and there are a few things which I noticed when I first came to this city that I hadn't heard of before coming here.

S.E.S. 

Pronunciation: es-ee-es /esi:jes/

S.E.S. is an acronym and stands for State Emergency Service.

The SES is a volunteer based organisation that is designed to empower people to help themselves and others in their community in times of emergency and disaster.

Functions of the SES are to perform:
